Video: Google Earth takes you underwater

February 3, 2009 6:06 pm

If you like the sea (like me) and what is beneath us, with the new version of Google Earth now available, you can avoid putting the bottles on their shoulders and get wet hair :-)

In the new version (5.0) adds Google Earth over the land, the sea and the ocean. With this new version you can explore the seabed around the globe, discover the flora and fauna that live there, not only at the virtual reproduction of the seabed, but mainly thanks to a host of video / photo / data collected by an international network of researchers and experts in oceanography.

Is certainly not even remotely comparable to the wonderful feeling of diving mask and bottles in environmental situations completely alien to us bipeds, but I'm sure I'll be able to `stimulate the curiosity of many of you to this fascinating part of our planet and yet unknown .

With Google Earth you can also plan your dive and follow the route of some inhabitants of the sea that were equipped with GPS transmitter.

I leave a couple of videos I found on YouTube:

I plan to record a sack for you to see the places (attach a few ago) I dive .. The Riviera is a great place for diving!

If chewed English I invite you to watch the video made by CBS to launch, following this link available on CNet: Video: Google Earth Dives Into the Sea | Digital Media - CNET News .
