Mac4Lin ver.1.0: a complete package to turn Linux into Mac OS X

June 15, 2009 6:03 pm

In the past I have already addressed The argument publishing guides on how to make a desktop based on KDE but VERY VERY similar to Mac OS X.
Course required to carry out different operations and take care of the issues individually.

Today I propose instead a complete package: Phoenix Mac4Lin ver.1.0 Released! .
Unfortunately it is only available for the GNOME desktop environment such as Ubuntu, for example, and does not run on KDE desktop, as Kubuntu.

The appearance more interesting is that this package not only deals with changing the desktop and windows to catch the apple style, but also various external programs such as Firefox, Thunderbird and Rhythmbox.

The result is quite good:

Create a backup of your wordpress blog

February 5, 2009 4:39 pm

I often feel the need to have a second copy of the blog is completely synchronized with that of production, where you can try out changes before you put them on line.

An example is been updated to version 2.7 that I had not yet done so for fear of doing damage.

In the end I decided to create me a second copy of the blog (not open to the public) where migration experiment or try new plugins.

The procedure is certainly not complex, but I thought I'd written it in a clear and simple to be useful at all.

September 3, 2008 6:24 pm

Fanfare please .. announced by all the leading newspapers of the world is finally available "Microsoft Killer" (as defined by many) Google Chrome.

I wanted to talk to a lot of this, but due to work commitments and many had never taken the time to approach the subject as I wanted. But today, an article in the Corriere made me take the decision not to hesitate any longer.
